Karumbakavu temple is dedicated to warrior goddess Bhagavathy. The idol of Bhagavathy has eight arms equipped with weapons. The severed head of Daruka, bells, an anklet and the vessel of blood are adorning the image of Goddess. There are many legendary stories behind this temple. One story coincides with the Kannagi Charithm and Daruka Nigraham
Cheraman Juma Masjid is the first House of Prayer for Muslims in India, built by Malik Ibn Dinar in the year of 629 AD, which is located 40 Kms South west to Thrissur. This Mosque was perhaps first renovated and then reconstructed in the 11th century AD.
Chennamangalam Synagogue in the South was the place of worship for the Jewish community that settled close to the Paravur Market.
